As you know, basic labour freedoms in Ontario are under fire from Doug Ford’s conservative government. Now more than ever, we need to stand together for workers’ rights.
Ford’s attack on education workers is an attack on all workers in Ontario. If he gets away with it, all other workers will face the same threat: contracts imposed by law instead of free collective bargaining.
But the right to free and fair collective bargaining is a fundamental freedom protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
That’s why it’s so important for us to stand together to protect our right to fight for good jobs, decent wages, and a better life. If enough of us email our MPPs demanding an end to this assault on workers’ rights, we can force them to do the right thing and set a precedent for fair treatment in the future.
