While I was enjoying my coffee this morning, I found my thoughts drifting to all of you and the movement for gun safety that we’ve created. I feel so much hope when I think about the progress we have made together since GIFFORDS was founded ten years ago, and I hope you do too.

Hundreds of thousands of people have stepped up and contributed to GIFFORDS since our founding. And each contribution, no matter how big or small, has made a huge impact on our movement.

In the past ten years, GIFFORDS has helped pass over 525 gun safety laws at the state level. Last year, we passed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in nearly three decades. This progress is real, and it did not happen overnight. But there’s so much work to do. We can only keep moving forward through the sustained grassroots support of people like you.

Yanick, that’s why I’m reaching out to you today. Our July fundraising drive comes to a close tomorrow at midnight, and my team tells me that we’re still short of our goals.

So please, will you chip in $3 or any amount that makes sense for you to GIFFORDS PAC right away? Time is running out, and I’m worried we won’t get where we need to be before the month ends.
